The Host movie OST, score composed by Antonio Pinto

Metropolis movie music has revealed the details of the soundtrack (OST) album for “The Host”, a sci-fi thriller based on Stephenie Meyer's book of the same name. The album will feature the film’s original score composed by award wining Brazilian composer Antonio Pinto. The Host soundtrack CD will be available for purchase on March 26, 2013 through Metropolis movie music.

The film is directed by Andrew Niccol based on his own script and stars Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder/Wanderer, Max Irons as Jared Howe, Jake Abel as Ian O'Shea, Chandler Canterbury as Jamie Stryder, Frances Fisher as Maggie Stryder and Diane Kruger as The Seeker.

The story follows Melanie Stryder a human that refuses her mind and body be taken over by an invade soul, an alien named “Wanderer”. It begins to see her memories, in which she perceives her loved ones and in the end finds a connection with them, too. There is a love triangle that begins because of all of this. The alien falls in love with the person Melanie loves as she fills it with the feelings of him. He remained human during the entire invasion and they must find him and convince him that Melanie is still "alive".

The Host will be opening in theaters on March 29, 2013.
