Rowan Atkinson is back as secret agent in Johnny English Reborn, a follow-up to the 2003 comedy “Johnny English”. It is definitely one of those movies where you just can't imagine any other actor playing the lead role than the one chosen. Rowan Atkinson's brand of humor works perfectly here.
He is my favorite comedian of all time as I grew up watching him play Mr. Bean. One of the things that makes him a comic genius is that he's a master at both spoken and physical comedy. While fans of Mr. Bean will see Atkinson's physical comedy, fans of the Black Adder series know his comic timing is truly a thing of beauty.
If you’re a fan of slapstick English humor then there’s no doubt that this movie will leave you rolling on the floor in laughter. Even with repeat viewings! Consider a safety harness when viewing this movie alone.
Here is the plot summery - Johnny English Reborn starts eight years after the original film and since then his profession has had a spin for the bad. 5 years prior the launch of the movie, he was set on an assignment in Mozambique that went awfully wrong. Ever since, he has been hiding in a cave sited someplace in Tibet due to the failure. He is then getting in touch with the head priest at a close by monastery who wants to teach him in martial arts, until one day he is given another chance. The MI7 calls him back to London for a new assignment, a number of rogue Southeast Asians start on to build up nuclear arms and they want him to make sure that China is on their side. As a result they ask him to foil a plan by a gang of murderers to assassin the Chinese Premier.
