I'm a big fan of Sherlock. The first big screen adaptation was one of the better depictions of Sherlock I had seen. Rather than being showed as a snobbish and sophisticated person, he was depicted with all the rough edges that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle described him in his short stories. While the adaptation was certainly Hollywood-ized beyond anything you'd come across in the books, it was a great movie. For these reasons and my fondness for the character, I'm very much excited to see how Sherlock Holmes 2 A Game of Shadows turns out, mainly as they go nose to nose with Moriarty. Also, I'm keen to see how good Noomi Rapace performs in her Hollywood entrance.
Once again, the soundtrack to this Sherlock Holmes sequel was composed, arranged, and conducted by Hans Zimmer. It is scheduled for release on December 13, 2011, three days ahead of the film’s release date.
