Nicki Minaj has confirmed via Twitter that her upcoming sophomore album titled “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” follow-up to her debut album “Pink Friday” will be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012. (Release date pushed back to April 03, 2012). The lead single of the album "Roman in Moscow" was released in early December. It was written by Nicki herself, Raymond Diaz, Nicholas Warwar and produced by Sarom and StreetRunner. According to Minaj's Cash Money colleague Birdman “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” will contain all brand new songs.
In recent years, she has smartly placed herself in the music industry as a new style of rappers that have redefined and almost changed the sound and climate of hip-hop. She and Drake both are using the same formula that their protégé Lil' Wayne used. She is almost schizophrenic in her rapping style - going from extremes of being unabashedly hardcore and then being a hybrid R&B vocalist mixing pop into her style. She takes her sound in a whole new direction. Honestly, we haven't heard female rap songs done in this style in a while.
