The Hives took again considerable time to come up with new album after 2007's "The Black and White Album" record. The Swedish rockers finally return with a new record titled “Lex Hives” available in stores on June 5, 2012. The band released the first single “Go Right Ahead” from their forthcoming album Lex Hives. The track begins with some catchy riffs, joined swiftly by some heavy bass beat and unholy screams from Howlin' Pelle. Their sound has changed a bit. The same aspects of fast paced wild rock and an obvious wittiness produce the Hives sound that you are familiar with, but the least bit of maturation is noticeable on repeated listens.
The Hives, together with The White Stripes and The Strokes, are being believed rocks revival in a time when rap and pop are topping the charts. If you are anticipating a masterpiece that will reform the world of music, you will be greatly disappointed. If you simply want memorable riffs and songs you can jam to, you'll enjoy their music.
