Soul music comes in different shapes and sizes, ngaging to either a handful of listeners or a large cross section of R&B followers. But when a fresh soulful artist appears of left field and they are not black, people take notice. Look at Lisa Stansfield and many other non-black singers who have made enormous strides for R&B and soulful Pop music. Fast forward to present and you'll see audience like Adele or Lady Gaga and the noticeably soulful Joss Stone continuing that trend. She has emerged into the music scene with The Soul Sessions, containing cover versions of old classic songs, and then she released her first original album titled Mind Body & Soul in 2004 and those two albums gave her critical and commercial praise.
Now, after a year since her previous album LP1, Joss Stone is back with her sixth studio album The Soul Sessions Volume 2. It is a follow-up to her critically acclaimed debut album of the same name. It is set for release on July 31, 2012 through Stone'd Records/S-Curve Records. The album will have the following track list:
2. "(For God's Sake) Give More Power to the People" Eugene Record
3. "While You're Out Looking For Sugar" Ronald Dunbar, Edyth Wayne
