Mirage Rock: Band of Horses (BOH) revealed new record

Every so often all this music world needs is a group just to simply cut it up. Band of Horses (BOH) just let it out. Certain it's a bit "generic", but they have their own unique sound. To me that's more artistic than some out there. Some "experimental" rock musicians come off as too dull and sometimes annoying with novel sounds, or you can't tell them apart from the next musician. How many groups can sound so memorable and plain, but yet different and complicated? Their debut album, 'Everything All the Time', was addictive, and strong enough to make follow-up albums. Those records displayed greater confidence and consistency in songwriting, their recent material finds the group even more 'settled in' to their sound and scope. How much one enjoys their most recent music will mostly just come down to whether they enjoy their chosen direction. 'Everything' suggested that they could grow into either a shoe-gazer band or a dream-rock outfit, and their last album proves that they are the latter, with a bit of alt-country twang.

The band revealed their new album, Mirage Rock, set for release on September 18, 2012. The new album is produced by Glyn Johns and "Knock Knock" will serve as the lead single from the album.

Mirage Rock will have the following track list:

1. "Knock Knock"
2. "How to Live"
3. "Slow Cruel Hands of Time"
4. "A Little Biblical"
5. "Shut-in Tourist"
6. "Dumpster World"
7. "Electric Music"
8. "Everything's Gonna Be Undone"
9. "Feud"
10. "Long Vows"
11. "Heartbreak on the 101"
12. "Ego Nightmare" (iTunes only)
