In the time since I first stumbled upon his work Van Morrison has slowly but surely climbed the ladders of my musical tastes, emerging as one of my all-time favorite singers - not an outcome I predicted when I first heard his classic chart topping hit Moondance. To my ears that work of art remains his best. In his music he produces a delightful blend of soul, blues, country, jazz, pop, R&B, and rock & roll for something completely unique and brilliant.
Morrison is currently working on his thirty fourth album titled Born to Sing: No Plan B, which is slated for release on October 02, 2012 through Blue Note Records. His upcoming album will contain ten songs and all are written by Morrison himself.
