I remember the first time I saw the original movie. It was the holiday season of mid 80s and I saw it on cable TV. Little did I know then how much of an enduring impact this movie would have on me, and since then I have been watching “A Christmas Story” every holiday season. I have seen it many times and still never tire of seeing it. It has turned into a Christmas classic and it is a well deserved title.
It has been almost thirty years since the release of the original movie; Warner Home Entertainment is currently working on a follow-up film, and it is set for release directly to Home Video (DVD and Blu-ray) on October 30, 2012.
The film is directed by Brian Levant and penned by Nat Mauldin based on the book of the same name by Jean Shepherd. The film stars Daniel Stern as The Old Man, Braeden Lemasters as Ralphie, Stacey Travis as Mother and Valin Shinyei as Randy Parker
