Cat Power back with new record, Sun, and tour

Chan Marshall, better known by Cat Power is one of the most talented singer-songwriter to emerge from the indie rock scene in recent years. She manages to write simple, stunning songs played on a guitar or piano, at times accompany by other instruments that come off as totally unique, and she has a unique, chalky voice that seems fragile and childlike.

It's been four years since she graced our tender ears with her outstanding voice, and now she's returned with a new record titled “Sun”, set for release on August 31, 2012. "Ruin" will serve as the lead single off her new album.
