Angelina Jolie is currently in negotiations with Paramount Pictures to direct Louis Zamperini's Biopic “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption”. Angelina has yet to approve the screenplay written by William Nicholson and then she has to cast the film. It has no specific release date estimate at this time but the filming is expected to begin next year.
Although the plot details are unknown at this time, the story follows Louis Zamperini, who was an Olympic runner and a gunner during WWII. In 1943, his plane was crashed into the Pacific Ocean. After floating in the sea for 47 days and almost dying, Louis and two other survivors were captured by the Japanese, where he then spent the rest of the war with Japan in POW camps.
