Argo is a thriller film directed by Ben Affleck from a screenplay by Chris Terrio based on a true story. The film stars Ben Affleck as Tony Mendez, Bryan Cranston as Jack O'Donnell, Alan Arkin as Lester Siegel, John Goodman as John Chambers and Tate Donovan as Bob Anders.
The film tells the story of six US citizens who back in eighties needed to get away Tehran because of a hostile takeover of Americans working in an US Embassy. More than fifty people were held hostage for just over a year. It's a thrilling look at what real terrorism is and was when, with the assist of the Canadian Ambassador, a successful mission was carried out under the appearance of making a fake Sci-Fi film Called `Argo'.
