After four decades and twenty records, it's clear that Rush has established a unique and lasting place in rock music history. It's true that their lead vocalist voice is a bit of an acquired taste, but aside from that, it can hardly be denied by anyone that they are one of the most talented and successful rock band ever.
They've really outdone themselves with their newest album “Clockwork Angels”. It is a conceptual record as many know, although it is not like any they have attempted before. The way the story is told has not been tried out by them before-- Each song is part of the story. Sure, it is similar to what has been done with 2112, but I actually see a change in tone. Neil Peart is a guy who has experienced many trials in his life and I believe this is present in the lyrical content, which is what sets Clockwork Angels even further apart from their previous attempts.
The band will continue their current Clockwork Angels Tour in support of their new album. The second leg of the tour will commence on April 23rd in Austin.

Going to see them tonight in Fort Lauderdale. Can't wait, but a little disappointed that Limelight and Red Barchetta aren't on the menu. I know they can't play everything in every show, but those are 2 of my faves.
