The Arctic Monkeys became overnight success in the UK music scene due mainly to a couple of great singles, and when their first album was released in 2006 it broke the record of the one-week sales.
After 2 years hiatus since their fourth effort “Suck It and See”, the Arctic Monkeys’ teamed up with James Ford (Simian) and Ross Orton (Cavemen) the producers chair to bring another album.
The Arctic Monkeys new song "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?", was recently premiered online.
It is the third single released from their fifth studio album "AM", which contains 12 tracks, including "Do I Want to Know?" and "RU Mine?" The lyric style and subjects on these songs remain very close to their previous efforts but the delivery and melodious envelope have grown and expanded adding weight and a welcome breath of changeability.
The Arctic Monkeys’ "AM", will hit the market on September 9. It will feature guest appearances by artists such as Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age , Bill Ryder-Jones, ex- The Coral , and Pete Thomas, drummer for Elvis Costello .
