After weeks of high hopes and fears from fans, the Jonas Brothers confirmed the rumors and announced their breakup. In an interview with People magazine, the brothers said it was a very difficult decision, but in agreement.
"It's over for now," said Kevin Jonas. "We're closing a chapter, for sure," said Nick. "It was a unanimous decision, "said the middle brother Joe Jonas.
According to the publication, during the meeting (October 3), Nick Jonas reportedly confessed to his brothers that he was worried about the future of the band. "I was feeling trapped and needed to share what I felt with my brothers," said the musician.
The evidence for separation of boys emerged last month, when their new tour was canceled with only two days for the first show. On one occasion, the representative of the trio said that the brothers were in conflict over the musical direction of the band, and recently the group's official Twitter account has been disabled without explanation.
During their eight-year career, the Jonas Brothers have released four studio albums, selling over 20 million copies worldwide. The fifth album, "V", was slated for release later this year.
