Slipknot announced via their official website the departure of drummer Joey Jordison. The band made a statement to fans stating that the member has left for "personal reasons".
In the note, the musicians also claim that the reason will be revealed in future. "It's a lot of pain, but with great respect, that for personal reasons Joey Jordison and Slipknot are separating. Everyone wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. Understand that many of you will want to know how and why? What happened? And we will do our best to answer these questions in the near future," reads the statement.
"It is our love for all of you as well as for the music we create, which encourages us to continue and move forward with our plans to launch a new material next year. Hopefully you all understand this and appreciate your support as we plan the next phase of the future of Slipknot," he concluded.
