The Sony officially launched the Xperia C3 on Tuesday (8), the first smartphone company dedicated to "selfies". The handset carries the front of a 5 megapixel camera and LED flash, and rear 8 megapixel camera to ensure good pictures regardless of the way the user prefers shooting.
The front sensor brings a wide angle lens 25mm to increase the capture area of "selfies", since the distance is short in these cases. In addition, Sony brings the same software features of their tops line as HDR mode for pictures and videos and many apps to improve results. Picture Effect, Portrait Retouch and Superior Auto, a standard automatic mode, are some examples.
There is also a greater EXMOR RS sensor captures light in dark environments, although it is not clear whether the sensor is also present on the front camera. Another feature that must be unique rear camera is the SteadyShot mode, which prevents blurry pictures.
In hardware, the C3 is an intermediate Xperia smartphone. With support for two chips and 400 Snapdragon processor, it has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and runs Android 4.4 "Kitkat" factory. The design is the same found in the tops of the Sony line, is looking very much like the Xperia Z Ultra - the display IPS HD (720p) measures 5.5 inches. To support the display, the smartphone comes with a battery of 2500 mAh. The device weighs 150g
There is no value set for the Xperia C3, which will be sold in black, white and green colors. The start of sales is scheduled for August this year. China will be the first country to receive the device, but Sony assures that the global launch will be held shortly thereafter.
