A few PlayStation 4 users are having problems, an error-called CE-33945-4, which prevents them from playing games and even applications. The Sony told, Kotaku website that the company is already aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Meanwhile other users believe that they have found a temporary solution.
Some users in gaming forums began reporting the appearance of the problem, despite not knowing its cause. There are theories that the problem would have been caused by ordering a game online pre-order on the PlayStation Network and then cancel the pre-order by phone with SAC Sony, creating a mismatch of information in the system.
Sony has not confirmed whether this was the cause, just commented on the event: "We are aware that this problem has affected a very small number of users. We are currently investigating the cause of the problem and made progress towards a possible solution. "
Temporary solution
According to some players, start the console in safe mode and rebuild the database can solve the problem, becoming a temporary solution while Sony does not release an official fix.
Step 1: With the PlayStation 4 off, press and hold the power button. You will hear a sound when you push the button and another sound 7 seconds later. Release the button after the second sound.
Step 2: Connect your controller DualShock 4 to the console using a USB cable and press the PS Home button. The console is now in safe mode.
Step 3: Select the "5 Rebuild Database" option to rebuild the database. This procedure can be time consuming.
Note: Don’t use these features if you are not having problems with your console.
