Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the latest entry in the popular Call of Duty video game franchise released for PS4, PS 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, the title brings a modernized zombie mode. The player must survive hordes of undead alone or alongside other three users. Check out some useful tips to survive in the first person shooter.
Black Ops 3 followed the playbook of the franchise and kept the formula that worked in Black Ops 2, offering a unique method involving zombies. Set in a fictional town in the 1940's, "Shadows of Evil" introduces four new characters – a Burlesque Dancer, Boxer, Magician and a Cop - and Morg City, a typical city of noir horror stories.
One of the most interesting aspects of this mode is the single system progression. This means that now there are three options in Black Ops 3: the zombie mode in co-op campaign and, of course, in the competitive multiplayer. The premise of "Shadows of Evil" is quite simple: kill zombies, giant wasps and colossal monsters to earn points, unlock new weapons and new areas of the map.
Believe it or not, the customization system of zombie mode skills is based on gum. The Gobblegum machine, positioned in specific locations of map grants colored chewing gum of exchange points.
The color gumballs represent different consumables temporary character. By consuming one Gobblegum, the player may not need to reload the weapon during combat, for example, and be ignored by the zombies for a short period of time.
Before the battle, the user is able to equip up to five Gobblegums to consume in the fight. As you progress and evolving character, new gum are unlocked to diversify Gobblegums package.
So don’t be afraid to invest in Gobblegums during rounds, since weapons are not always sufficient to combat the endless waves of enemies.
Play with friends
Because it is a survival mode, it is natural that the level of difficulty of the hordes increases gradually. In view of this, forget the solo experience of "Shadows of Evil" and focus solely on cooperative approach, because the chance of survival is much higher and you will surely win generous amounts of experience points.
Communication in zombie mode is also essential to combine strategies. After all, now and then you'll have to ask tasks to colleagues, such as opening certain gate on the map, rebuild barricades and revive allies. If you have friends venturing the way, invite them without hesitation.
Unlock New Areas
Open new gates right away is a great way to make space for shirking grotesque creatures. Unlock new regions of Morg City costly. But it is often better to invest points into new areas than being locked in a small room with a rifle Shevia hands, little ammunition and dozens of zombies.
Look explore every centimeter of Morg city because there will always be weapons, artifacts and secrets to be unlocked. The only way to make progress in zombie mode is discovering new possibilities for action.
In addition to using gobblegums, heavy weapons and grenades, the player is able to transform temporarily into bizarre creatures through totems, as a terrifying beast with eight tentacles. Under the monstrous form, it can produce powerful melee attacks as well as electrical fatal shots.
Save the transmutation of the Beast to truly critical moments of the battle, as when the companions are fallen or base surrounded by zombies. Remember to use the transformation in inappropriate times can end up ruining the whole team planning.
Change armaments
Know that your multiplayer favored weapon can also be used in zombie mode. The scenarios have weapons strategically placed in specific locations of the city, requiring the player to explore every corner in detail.
To locate the desired weaponry on one wall of Morg City, pay a modest amount of points to purchase it. In the zombie mode menu, the player can customize the kit with submachine guns, assault rifles, shotguns and light machine guns.
