The early access phase of Conan Exiles is now live. However, there are a few problems shortly after the start of the game. If the Conan Exiles doesn’t start with you, causing black screens, server problems or other errors, then we have some fixes for you.
The Game Won’t Start
One of the most common problems with Conan Exiles is that it
does not start after the message Game is started. If you check the game for
errors, in many cases you will not see anything and there is no error message.
But before we get to the solutions to such problems, let's see the system
requirements for the game. Even if Conan Exiles is not really finished yet, the
system requirements are quite high. If you want to enjoy the Survival game
without errors, you will need. Your PC must meet the following requirements, so
you can play the game easily or enjoy it without problems.
Minimum system requirements
RAM - 4 GB of RAM
OS - Windows 7 - 10 (64-bit)
DirectX - Version 11
Graphic - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (2 GB) or equivalent AMD
graphics card
Network - Broadband internet connection
Processor - Intel Quad Core i5 or equivalent AMD unit
Hard Disk - 35 GB
Recommended System Requirements
RAM - 8 GB of RAM
OS - Windows 7, 8, 10 (64-bit)
DirectX - Version 11
Graphic - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti or 1070 (graphic details
to "ultra") or comparable AMD graphics card
Network - Broadband internet connection
Processor - Intel Quad Core i5 / i7 3.3 GHz or comparable
AMD unit
Hard Disk - 35 GB
Unfortunately, for some problems of Conan Exiles you may have to wait for a patch. The game is in its start-up phase and connection problems as well as crashes will hopefully fix with the next updates. If you are already stuck at the start of the game or get a black screen, then only the CTRL SHIFT ESC combination usually helps you to end the process of the game manually in order to restart the game.
Fix Server Problems
Many players complain that they have removed from the game spontaneously. New installations don’t work very well, if you’ve faced with this issue. Then one possible solution to fix this issue is:
- Go to yours Steam-page.
- Press "Go to the top of this page".
- Choose Server.
- Select Conan Exiles.
- Sort the servers by alphabet and search for your server.
- Go to Join and Refresh until the game displays the player list and then set Auto-Join.
- The game will now start up and automatically join the game after a few seconds.
Another problem may be that no server is displayed. In this case it can simply be an error in the settings. Look for the Combat and Community, where you must set to All. In addition, you should set the filter to "Internet".
C++ and Unreal Engine 4 Error
This problem is usually caused by non-updated versions of Windows. Follow these steps:
- Start Windows Update.
- Restart your PC.
- Install the Visual C++ Redistributable-File for Visual Studio 2015.
- Install Conan Exiles now.
If you encounter performance problems, occasionally a reboot of Conan Exiles helps. This is especially true when you receive a message that optional parameters must be activated. The problem may persist despite a restart. In this case, start the game as administrator and it could be fixed.
