Capture Dead, Alive Bounty Hunt guide Red Dead Redemption 2

In Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll encounter a mission called bounty hunting. This requires you to capture criminals either Dead or Alive and the mission will be available to you after completion of Good, Honest, Snake Oil in Chapter 2 and playable until the end of Chapter 5.

The mission starts at the sheriff's office in Valentine. So, head to the sheriff's office or post office and study the wording. The approximate location of the target will be shown on your map.

Capture Ellie Anne Swan

Ellie Anne Swan will be unlocked after completion of Good, Honest, Snake Oil in Chapter 2. You’ll get this task from the sheriff office in Valentine. Go to Ellie's location near Wallace Station. You’ll find her with her boyfriend in a cave near the river. Since you need her alive, you should run towards her and knock her down or use lasso. Afterwards you can take care of her companion.

Your reward for capturing Ellie Anne Swan is $25.

Lindsey Wofford

Lindsey Wofford will be available after you have completed the Good, Honest, Snake Oil mission in Chapter 2. The poster for this criminal can be found in the Saint Denis police station. You must go to the fort east of Emerald Station. Here you must prepare for a fight as you pass the entrance. Take cover and get rid of all enemies. The target person is in the southwestern tower. After killing all enemies, you should run and try to knock out or shoot Lindsey Wofford. You must take him dead or alive.

Your reward for capturing Lindsey Wofford is $100.

Joshua Brown

Joshua Brown will be unlocked after completion of Blessed are the Meek mission. You have to capture him alive. The poster can be found at the prison in Strawberry. However, you have to wait until you can re-enter Strawberry (or you pay the bounty). When the target arrives, a cutscene is launched, which leads to a duel. Aim at Joshua's right hand to disarm him - grab him afterward.

Your reward for capturing Joshua Brown is $40.

Mark Johnson

You can capture Mark Johnson after completion of The Joy of Civilization in chapter 4. Take the wanted poster from the train station in Rhodes. You have to capture him alive. Go northeast to the location of the target person. Mark will surrender without resistance, but asks you for a favor. If you agree to say goodbye, you will be ambushed on the return journey. Even without this incident, Mark will once free, so you have to catch him again.

Robbie Laidlaw

Complete the Joy of Civilization mission in chapter 4 to unlock Robbie Laidlaw. You can collect the wanted poster from the train station in Rhodes. You have to capture him alive. Go to the aforementioned Old Harry Fen lodge near the Braithwait Manor. When you enter the hut, you are attacked. Follow the target person to the northwest to the cotton field. Robbie hides in the northwestern part of the field. As soon as you approach him, he sets fire to the field. That makes the chase a little harder, but you should make it.
