In this guide, we’ll show you how to fix the server connection problem for the Among Us running on iOS devices, but this guide will also be applicable for android devices.
This problem is actually pretty common as there are a lot of servers being created at the same time. In order to fix this I suggest you to first of all change your server region, even if it's not the closest to you you should additionally disable any VPN service to see if this resolves your issue.
Some VPN applications can worsen your connection by increasing your latency and inducing packet loss resulting in the disconnected from server error.
After changing the server region, you should be more likely to find a game you can join. Make sure to use a reliable network connection when joining a server. If you use a Wi-Fi connection, then change it to mobile data if possible.
And if your mobile connection seems to induce lag then change it to Wi-Fi. If you prefer to use a Wi-Fi connection then restart your router or modem, if you haven't done this in a while and reduce the amount of devices using the same network connection.
Next open up your native settings application - here navigate to general and then background app refresh. I would suggest disabling this option while playing Among Us in order to fully utilize your network connection.
You should also close applications from running in the background to improve your gaming experience.
I hope this helped you out.
