In this guide, we’ll show you how to make changes or recover deleted Cyberpunk 2077 save files on your PC.


First, make sure to save your game before closing it and then open up your file explorer. 


Then navigate to you Windows (C) drive – Users (Your user name) - Saved Games - CD Projekt Red - Cyberpunk 2077 and there you will find the AutoSaves, ManualSaves and automatic QuickSaves. Each one of those will contain a screenshot allowing you to see which one you want to change. Open up one of your saves metadata files within text editor notepad. This will allow you to edit or change a lot of options such as the playerPosition, genderLevel, streetCred and so on. Make sure to save your changes to the file.


In case your game save is corrupted then you will have to backup the previous save in your Cyberpunk saves folder.

In addition, make sure that your gamepads are not corrupted by verifying the entirety of your game files. Open up your steam library, you can do the same step using the Origin or Epic Games Launcher. Right click cyberpunk 2077 and select properties. On the pop-up window, in the local files tab select verify integrity of game files. This will take a moment to re-download and replace any missing or corrupted game files.
