The R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow is now available in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. As is tradition with a new weapon drop you'll need to go and unlock it.
Here's what you need to do to unlock R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow in Cold War and Warzone.
To get the R1 Shadowhunter you'll need to complete a specific challenge using a weapon with no attachments, get three one shot one kill medals in 15 different games.
This special weapon launches lethal bolt projectiles to silently eliminate enemies.
The R1 Shadowhunter has excellent hip fire accuracy with good handling to get this done fast we recommend using the LW3 Tundra as it's the most effective one shot sniper in the game.
Be sure to drop into Nuketown 24/7 to speed up the length of games and ensure you have plenty of one-shot opportunities. If you're lucky you may even get some collaterals on the way. What you're looking for is the one shot one kill medal to appear on your screen three times in a game.
I'd aim to get five or six kills with a sniper just to make sure you get it done, after that you can play. However, it's good to have a secondary because this can be a frustrating task and it's okay to take a breather or use your sweaty weapon to get your team in a good spot. It's also a good excuse to rank up a weapon or two.
Overall, this is a really straightforward challenge and shouldn't take you more than 15 games which is roughly two hours of your time. Just be sure to finish your games otherwise, your progression will not be recorded and you won't be able to unlock the weapon.
It may seem like you're making progress but when you go to restart the game it will not track and the weapon will remain locked.
