Elden Ring: How to Free Unchained Sellen in Witchbane Ruins?

As you progress through the game, you’ll meet an NPC named Sellen in the Witchbane Ruins. She is chained and many players are wondering whether it is possible to free or unchained her, the answer is yes.

Now, if you want to unchained Sellen then you’ll have to do several quests for another Sellen in the Waypoint ruins cellar. During these quests she will she will ask you to meet Azur Sorcerer. To find him, you have to go to the Hermit Village in Mount Gelmir and then head to the hills to the northeast to find the NPC there. To locate him more easily, here is his location in Elden Ring.

 

After you have done her request, go back to Sellen and she will then give you an item that will allow you to free the Sellen who is chained in the Witchbane Ruins.

 

Now, if you attacked or killed one of the two Sellen, then they will become hostile. To clear them, you’ll have to use Celestial Dew which can be purchased from the Merchant at the Ainsel River for 7,500 runes.
