FIFA 23 is now available to purchase, and there are two options with the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. In this short guide, we'll show you what makes the two variants different.
The Standard Edition brings you several bonuses, they are:
Team of the Week 1 player item
Kylian Mbappé loan item for 5 FIFA Ultimate Team matches
FUT Ambassadors loan player pick (choose between Alphonso Davies, Son or Vinicius Jr.) for 3 FIFA Ultimate Team matches.
A Career mode homegrown talent
This version can be played from September 30th.
The Ultimate Edition brings these bonuses: This version is more expensive, has a special cover and brings some more bonuses compared to the Standard Edition.
A FIFA World Cup FUT Hero item for Ultimate Team. But only if you pre-order by August 22nd. In addition, you only get the hero from November 11th.
3 days early access. So you can already start on September 27th.
Duel entitlement: If you buy the Ultimate Edition for console, the versions for both generations are included. So you can play the Ultimate Edition on PS4 and PS5.
Ones to Watch player item.
4,600 FIFA Points.

Is the expensive edition worth it? So overall, the Ultimate Edition brings you a few benefits in Ultimate Team, but most notably early access and the ability to play the game on both generations of consoles. This is particularly interesting if you still have an "old" console when FIFA 23 is released, but are planning to upgrade to the new generation.
But if you only play on one console without planning to switch, the standard edition should also be sufficient. Then the Ultimate Edition only brings the Ultimate Team bonuses.
