In order to solve the Crystal Marble puzzle that you are going to get after opening the cabinet on the ground floor of the village chief's manor, you need to place the marbles correctly. You will have to manipulate the Crystal Marble until you have the correct pattern.
Once you've placed the Marbles correctly, you'll be treated to a cutscene ending Chapter 2 after picking up the item from the bedroom desk.
