Zelda TOTK: how to get and use diamonds?

In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you can collect diamonds and in this guide we’ll show you how to get and use them!

 

As you progress through the game, you may have the chance to obtain diamonds especially in caves around Hyrule. You can initially buy some from a merchant in the Goron City for 1000 rupees each but it is still very expensive.

 

On the other hand, if you really want to have some then there are several less expensive ways to get them:

 

You can try to get some by breaking the gold rocks (rare ore deposits), these deposits are very rare to find and don’t always give diamonds.

 

Going hunting for Rare Stone Talus is a good idea, if you win your fight, you have a good chance of getting one.

 

It is strongly recommended that you complete Sihajog Shrine with the inscription "Rauru's Blessing", as this remains the most effective technique to obtain them.

 

How to use diamonds in Zelda TOTK?

 

A diamond has 3 main uses, the first being resale for Rupees and each one will earn you 500 Rupees from a merchant. We also recommend that you always resell your precious stones to the Goron merchant, because she will buy them for higher price.

 

The second option is to strengthen your weapons. Indeed, you can Fuse your weapons using these gems to make them more powerful! Finally, the third option is to improve your armors by going to the Great Fairy Fountain.
