Gray Zone Warfare: how medical or health system works in GZW?

In this post, we’ll share some useful tips on how the medical or health system works in Gray Zone Warfare (GZW).

The medical system in GZW is very different from Escape from Tarkov. In Tarkov, the medical system is essentially based on how many hit points you have per limb, and if your limb blacks out, you have to use a specific item, such as a Surgical Kit or a Surv Kit, to restore that arm’s health. This is significantly different in Gray Zone Warfare, where injuries include organ damage, bone fractures, bruises, contusions, bleeds, heavy bleeds, light bleeds and all of those things. Depending on the severity of your injuries, you may need to use different medical supplies.

For example, you should apply a bandage if the bleeding is minor. However, if your character has several bleeds, applying a Tourniquet will be quicker and more effective in treating all of the bleeds rather than applying bandages to each one separately.

Also, for example, there is a good probability that you will break both of your legs if you fall off of in the game at any height. In this case, you will need to put a splint to both of your legs. Having said that, you can take a painkiller if you don't have a splint this will eliminate the pain effect on your character, but due of your damaged limb, you won't be able to move fast. Besides, a surgical kit will be required to fix any damaged organs you may get.

There are also Blood Bags that you can use on your character to replenish your blood, but only if you heal all of your wounds and hit points. However, if your blood drops below 50%, your character will go into a coma and you will need to be revived by another player, a member of your squad, an enemy faction, or even someone else from your faction.

These are all things you will need to be aware of and make sure you're using the right medical equipment for the right injuries on your character.
