Make, use water-pump, get clean drinkable water in Once Human

Like other survival games, Once Human requires you to keep an eye on a number of things in order to survive. Maintaining the life and health of your character depends on basic resources like clean water. Among the essential tools, the water pump is an invaluable asset in the game.

How to Use a Water Pump to Get Fresh, Clean Drinkable Water?

One of the most important resources in Once Human is clean water. Maintaining the health of your character is just as important as satisfying your thirst. Drinking unpurified water in this contaminated world can result in serious illnesses and game penalties. One efficient way to get access to a consistent supply of clean water is by using a water pump.

Collect contaminated water

First, find a water source in Once Human to get started. Even though they could appear welcoming, bodies of water are frequently contaminated with stardust.

Here's how to collect water in Once Human:

- Find a water source: Look for rivers, ponds or lakes.

- Collect Dirty Water: Approach the water until the "Collect Dirty Water" option appears.

Build a water pump:

The water needs to be purified after it has been collected. The best tool for this job is a water pump. A water pump can be classified as either a small or large. The following items can be used to make small water pump:

30x Steel Ingots

10x Refined Parts

2 x Electronic accessories

For a large water pump:

25x Steel Ingot

20x Carbon Fiber Fabric

20x Refined Parts

20x Standard Parts

20x Electronic Accessory

You can find these materials through object dismantling or world exploration. After obtaining the necessary items, proceed as follows:

- Access the build menu by pressing the “B” key: Go to the functional structures tab.

- Build the water pump: Place the water pump on the ground and connect it to an electricity source (1 watt for the small pump).

How to purify the collected water in Once Human

Your water pump will now pull water from the ground, but the water is still going to be contaminated. So you'll need to use a stove to purify it.

Here's how to purify the collected water:

First, you must have unlocked the Stoves Memetic in the Memetics menu.

Then take the dirty water and bring it to a boil using stove. It will take a few seconds to make and three bottles of dirty water are needed for every bottle of clean water.
