The "Swarm" mode for League of Legends (LoL) is now playable on the live servers. You can take on up to nine different characters including Riven and Aurora, the newest League of Legends champion.
There are numerous optimizations available in this new game mode and that will significantly change your gameplay. Here is a beginner's tutorial that will walk you through how to play LoL Swarm so you don't get lost.
In this mode, you move using Z (up), Q (right), S (down), D (left) and there are no more right clicks. Likewise, you possess three spells instead of four: a Passive spell, an Active spell, and an Ultimate. Initially, your options will be limited to Seraphine and Jinx. Given that Seraphine's relative weakness, we suggest Jinx. Keep in mind that playing cooperatively with up to 4 players makes the game harder.
There are four maps with randomized challenges for each difficulty (Yuumi, Bel'Veth, etc.). By using TAB or O, you can view all the information you require, including spells, upgrades, and other details. The little blue and purple balls that you can pick up by walking on them will be your experience points, which you will need to level up. The purple bar located beneath your life points allows you to keep track of your experience. You can choose from three maps with passive stat bonuses or weaponry after completing a level.
There is a maximum of four weapons that you can use, ranging from bombs that drop on adversaries to damage zones that surround you. You may upgrade them by leveling up the same cards to five. After reaching level 5, you can access the "Ultimate" version, which changes every aspect of gameplay.
Your movement speed, skill acceleration, and damage are all increased by passives. They don't have an ultimate version, although they can be upgraded to level 5. Also, there will be quests that grant you "Epic" upgrades with incredible effects. There's also the occasional appearance by Miss Fortune, who will give you a crazy effect for a few seconds.
You'll occasionally run into waves of new enemies. The more powerful and long to kill they are, the more experience they give. You will encounter a formidable boss approximately fifteen minutes into the game. Win the game by defeating him.
Once the game is over, you will find that you have gold coins in your stock. Your characters can be upgraded with these gold coins. Yes, no matter which character or which card you choose, every effect you upgrade will remain for the rest of your adventure.
