Top Comps to Try in TFT Set 13 PBE Testing

Set 13 of Teamfight Tactics is officially hitting the PBE (Public Beta Environment) starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and will be available for testing until the official launch on November 20, 2024. With 60 new champions and 20 new traits, there's a lot to explore. To help you navigate this massive update, we've put together a list of compositions to try during this testing phase. Keep in mind that these compositions are based on our initial playtesting. Since the PBE is a dynamic testing ground, expect plenty of balance changes, which means the meta can shift quickly!

1. Corki with Scrapper

The Scrapper trait returns in Set 13, and it’s shaping up to be a fan favorite once again. Scrappers gain an item component every time they equip an item, which can help create powerful synergies. For this comp, you’ll want to stack items on your primary carry, Corki, while filling out the rest of your team with Scrappers to maximize the bonus components. If you have extra items, consider putting them on champions like Rumble or Ekko, who can also benefit from the Scrapper synergy.

2. Caitlyn with Sniper & Enforcer

Caitlyn, a legendary champion from Arcane, is back in Set 13 and ready to be one of your primary carries. This composition revolves around Caitlyn and the Sniper trait, alongside the Enforcer trait. Caitlyn can dish out massive damage from a distance, and this comp works well with an emblem for either Sniper or Enforcer. While you’re waiting to upgrade to Caitlyn, Zeri (2 PO) or Twitch (4 PO) are great placeholders for your carry items.

3. Powder Reroll with Family

If you love rerolling, the Family trait will be your new best friend! This comp focuses on rerolling key champions like Powder, Vander, and Violet early, aiming to get them to level 5 quickly. Afterward, you’ll add Ambuscade units and Vi to round out the composition. The Family synergy provides great consistency for a reroll comp, and once you hit your three-star units, you'll be a force to reckon with.

4. Zoe with Sorcerer

Magic-focused compositions are always a staple in TFT, and Set 13's Sorcerer trait is no different. This comp aims to maximize the Sorcerer trait’s power, with Zoe and/or LeBlanc as your primary carries. If you're looking for tankiness, Swain or Vladimir can fill that role effectively—especially if you manage to get them to three stars. The key to success with this comp is to stack as many Sorcerers as possible to deal devastating magic damage in fights.

5. Gangplank and Vi with Pit Fighter

Pit Fighters are aggressive units that deal bonus damage to their targets. In this composition, you’ll want to focus on Pit Fighter champions like Gangplank and Vi, who can serve as your main carries. Swain can act as your front-line tank, while Sevika can also be equipped with carry items—especially Vi’s items if you have her as a two-star Legendary. If you're in the mood for rerolling, you can try to three-star Gangplank and Swain, with Gangplank becoming your main carry as the comp evolves.

6. Singed Reroll with Mad Chemist Augment

Singed's unique Mad Chemist augment gives him the ability to deal massive amounts of poison damage. In this reroll comp, you’ll want to focus on Singed and other Chemist-related champions, leveling them up to maximize their damage output. This composition works well with Singed's augment, allowing him to scale quickly in the early-to-mid game.

7. Renni Reroll with Brutal Revenge Augment

Renni's Brutal Revenge augment gives her a chance to become even more deadly as the game progresses. In this reroll composition, your goal is to quickly level up Renni and other champions that complement her abilities. This is a high-risk, high-reward strategy, but with the right setup, Renni can become an unstoppable force.

8. Steb Reroll with Combat Medic Augment

Steb's Combat Medic augment can provide incredible sustain for your team. This comp focuses on rerolling Steb and other Combat Medic champions, ensuring that your team stays alive long enough to deal damage. The healing from this augment can make all the difference in longer fights, giving you the edge in extended combat.

9. Vander Reroll with Gloves Off Augment

Vander's Gloves Off augment lets him deal extra damage based on his attack speed. This composition revolves around rerolling Vander and stacking items that enhance his damage output. With the right positioning and items, Vander can carry your team through tough fights and ensure you reach the top ranks.

Final Thoughts

While these compositions are a great starting point for your PBE testing, the key to success in TFT lies in adapting to the ever-changing meta. The compositions listed here are based on our initial experiences, but with balance changes expected throughout the PBE phase, the optimal comps will evolve quickly. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different combinations and forge your own path as you explore Set 13.

Happy testing!
