KCD2 Lion's Crest Quest: Brunswick Armor & Treasure Locations

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (KCD 2) has continued to captivate players with its deep storylines, immersive world, and detailed quests. One such quest, The Lion's Crest, offers a chance to obtain the legendary Sir Brunswick Armor, a prestigious set of gear that boasts superior protection and a striking visual appeal. But unlike other quests in the game, The Lion's Crest doesn’t hold your hand when it comes to starting or solving its puzzles.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of starting and completing The Lion’s Crest, ensuring you’re well-prepared to collect the full set of armor, weapons, and other valuable treasures along the way.

How to Start The Lion’s Crest Quest

Unlike many other quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, The Lion’s Crest has no obvious quest marker to tell you exactly where to begin. Here’s what you need to do to trigger this quest:

Requirements:

  1. Progress the main story until you’re free to explore Troskowitz. You’ll know you’ve reached the right phase when you can begin the Wedding Crashers quest.
  2. Have a Spade/Shovel in your inventory, as this will be necessary later on to dig up treasures.

Finding the Quest Start:

  1. Open your map and look for the DLC quest marker in Troskowitz. This is where you need to go to start the quest.
  2. Meet Scribe Gaibl: Follow the quest marker and head to the city, where you’ll find Gaibl. Speak with him to hear a riddle that will set the stage for the adventure.

Solving the First Riddle

Gaibl will present you with a riddle, and solving it requires both observation and knowledge of the surroundings. Unlike typical quests, there are no helpful map markers to guide you; you’ll need to rely on the clues Gaibl provides. Here are the clues and how to interpret them:

The Clues:

  • “The crone and maiden”: This refers to the two towers of Trosky Castle, named “The Crone” and “The Maiden.”
  • “True midnight”: This clue points to north, symbolized by the 12 o’clock position on a clock face.
  • “The Two Guards of Stone”: After heading north, look for a rock formation with a passage between two large stones—this is the “stone guard” referenced in the riddle.
  • “The Hidden Chapel”: Following the stone guards, you’ll find an underground chapel located within a cavern.

Location of the Hidden Chapel:

  • Head north from Trosky Castle, traveling through the forest.
  • Look for two Y-shaped rock formations and pass through them.
  • You will soon find a crevasse that leads to a hidden shrine, known as The Chapel in the Rocks.

Once you’ve arrived, use your shovel to dig near the stone cross to uncover the first treasure and the start of your journey toward Sir Brunswick’s armor.
